A Prayer for Protection (With Bible Reference)

“The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” (Psalm 18:2)

“But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.” (2 Thessalonians 3:3)

“The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe.” (Proverbs 18:10)

“I will say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.'” (Psalm 91:2)

“The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.” (Exodus 14:14)

Father in Heaven, I humble myself before you today, begging for your protection and strength. Protect me from the world’s perils and temptations, and assist me in resisting the powers of evil that wish to harm me.

I recognize that I cannot tackle life’s issues alone, and I pray that you surround me with your love, grace, and mercy. Fill me with your discernment and wisdom so that I can make sensible decisions and follow your will for my life.

Give me the fortitude and tenacity to confront the challenges of this life. Keep me secure under your wings and protect me from harm. When I am weak, Father, give me your strength to endure adversity and rise above my surroundings.

Give me the clarity and focus I need to achieve your goals and fulfill the calling you’ve given me. Help me to believe in your goodness and constancy even in the midst of adversity.

“He will cover you with his feathers, and you will find refuge under his wings; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.” You will not be afraid of the dread of the night, nor of the arrow that flies during the day.” (Psalm 91:4-5)

I devote all credit, honor, and glory to you, Father. I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
